Cosmetologists Chicago is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its America’s Beauty Show in 2012 with the debut of the Leo Passage Gold Trophy. The association, which founded and produces the show, has counted many salon industry leaders from among its Chicago based membership.

One of the best known and respected CC members was the late Leo Passage, an award winning stylist, educator, entrepreneur and, most importantly, founder of Pivot Point International. With educational venues around the world, Pivot Point was founded in Chicago by Passage in 1962 and remains headquartered in the Chicago area.

To commemorate the contributions of Passage, CC is debuting the annual Leo Passage Gold Trophy, which will be presented to the winner of CC’s Star’s Photo Competition who achieves the highest cumulative number of competition points.

The Leo Passage Gold Trophy will be engraved each year with the winner’s name and will be displayed at Pivot Point’s world headquarters and Academy campus in Evanston, Illinois. Each Leo Passage Gold Trophy winner will receive a cash award of $1000 and a replica of the permanent trophy.

The debut award will be presented at America’s Beauty Show 2012, which will be held March 3-5 at McCormick Place on Chicago’s lakefront.  To learn more about the show or to register, visit americasbeautyshow.com.
