Emiliano Vitale of e salon, a 2011 finalist in the Australian Hair and Fashion Awards, turns to his artistic medium of hair to reflect what he sees as both the destruction and strength displayed in a world dealing with economic meltdown.
Vitale’s Raw collection includes styles that range from precise cuts with a masculine influence to wild and disheveled with a little punk thrown in as well.
“Our world is still intact, as are the fundamentals of hairdressing,” says Vitale whose untamed styles fit a world in transition.
“The way the world is at this moment in time is reflected in my finish—rough, undone and raw,” Vitale says.
