THE OSCARS: Jennifer Aniston by Chris McMillan for Living Proof

Anne Moratto | February 24, 2013 | 8:41 PM

It's one thing to walk the Red Carpet at The Oscars but quite another to be a presenter.  Jennifer Aniston did both and she did it in a vibrant red gown from Valentino and with hair styled by Living Proof stylist Chris McMillan.

THE OSCARS: Jennifer Aniston by Chris McMillan for Living Proof“She is wearing a big red Valentino dress (and if you’re going to wear red, wear Valentino) that's strapless, gowny, big and voluminous.  When we talked about her hair and makeup, we wanted to do the opposite of the dress to keep it natural." said McMillan, the man responsible for creating the iconic "Rachel" style that Aniston made famous. "Jen always wears a very narrow, black, sexy look and this was a new approach to a dress.  She wanted hair and makeup to be natural, healthy and beautiful.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “First, I washed the hair with Living Proof Full Shampoo and Conditioner. I then applied Prime Style Extender to wet hair and massaged through for a lasting style, while still allowing the hair to have movement. Using a large round brush, I blew out the hair straight with a deep, side bang. Finally, I applied Hold Flexible Hairspray to the roots for height and lightly sprayed the rest of the hair.”

PRODUCTS: LIVING PROOF FULL SHAMPOO, FULL CONDITIONER, PRIME STYLE EXTENDER, HOLD FLEXIBLE HAIRSPRAY

FINAL WORD: “She’ll be one of the only people there who is able to actually touch her hair.  I created a look that would last the entire night, from the red carpet to when she presents.“
