HOW TO: Guarantee Even Color Uptake

"Getting even color presents challenges to so many colorists," says Deb Gavin, Keratin Complex platform artist. At a recent photo session for Modern Salon, Gavin demonstrated HOW TO use foils properly to prevent haircolor from "uptaking" unevenly. "Whenever I am doing all over color I've learned to either roll or layer foil instead of folding. Folding can actually 'push' the color around and may alter the end result."

In this short video, Gavin shows how to use foils to guarantee even color uptake.
