Boston Helps Celeste

Boston Helps Celeste...and You Can Too

Celeste Corcoran has been a stylist at Emerge Spa and Salon in Boston for more than 13 years. By now you may have heard of her...it was Celeste standing at the finish line of the Boston Marathon urging her sister to complete the 26 mile run. Celeste's daughter, Sydney, was standing right next to her.

The two received devastating injuries when the bomb went off. Celeste ultimately lost both legs and Sydney was severly injured.

Boston Helps Celeste...and You Can TooThere has been an outpouring of support and people have been asking how to help.

Emerge Spa and Salon has organized a cut a thon with more than 20 salons and spas participating. The "Boston Strong Celeste-A-Thon" is scheduled for Monday, May 13. 100% of the proceeds from the cuts, blowouts, spa services and more will be sent to the Celeste and Sydney Fund. Other local stores and businesses are donating prizes with all proceeds going to help the victims.

Not surprising, the entire salon industry, both in and outside the Boston area, want to help. Michael Albor, owner of The Loft Salon by Michael Albor along with Ammon Carver, have decided to help as well. The premier artists are holding a Matrix sponsored "formal wear dressing/editorial photo shoot" seminar on May 21, with 100% of the proceeds going to the  fund. There is a minimum donation of $100 and $50 for students.

If you are interested in attending the cut-a-thon, going to the Michael Albor/Ammon Carver dress work class or holding your own fundraiser for Celeste, please follow the information below.
