In this recent photo shoot by Michael's Photography team, they decided to have some "Good Old Fashion Fun" with a Vintage Vogue theme. The hair designers, Michelle Montemore, Ashley O'Dell and Reese Melvin created their own interpretations of vintage vogue hair and make-up.
According to Michael's Photography Team, with every photo shoot they strive to create and re-create hair trends with a touch of their own personality.
Michelle Montemore: "My inspiration for this vintage photo shoot was Rita Hayworth. her stunning, explosive sexual charisma on camera is what I wanted to portray. For the first look, I pinned all of my model's hair to achieve the classic updo. For the second look, I brushed out the curled updo with a wide took comb, to achieve the perfect soft waved look. To get the curls, I sprayed each curl with Aquage Working Spray, as I wrapped each section around a 1 1/2 inch tapered curling wand."
Ashley O'Dell: "My love for all things vintage was my inspiration! Aquage uplifting foam, Aquage thickening spray gel, Aquage fishing spray, and Kenra shine spray were my products of choice. The only tool I utilized in my look was a 1" curling iron. It was so much fun!"
Reese Melvin: “My inspiration for the vintage photo shoot were the mint greens and colors of our location. Making my model platinum blonde really complimented her surroundings. I loosely curled her blunt shoulder length hair to give a weight line at the bottom and gave a soft wave in the front. I wanted her hair to be bouncy and fun and reflect in the environment.”
