Bain de Terre Reveals WIN-spiration Contest Winners

Lauren Salapatek | September 5, 2013 | 12:51 PM

Natural hair care brand Bain de Terre has named the winners in its “WIN-spiration Contest,” which was held from May 1st-July 31st of this year. The brand asked hair enthusiasts to dream up their most creative nature-inspired styles for a chance to win. The woman who received the $1,000 grand prize was Andreea Danis of Nevada. Her winning style, dubbed “Hawaiian Paradise Falls,” was a beautiful two-tiered braid woven into cascading waves and sprinkled with bright carnations.

A native of Romania, Andreea left the country and her training in mathematics and computer science behind in 2007 to pursue her true love of doing hair in the United States. Now wife to husband William and mom to daughter Alessia, Andreea is set to graduate the Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School in 2014. She’s thrilled that her passion for creative styling helped her take the top prize.

Four runners-up have also been chosen for their gorgeous and intricate styles: 1st runner-up: Aubree Siddons of Indiana for her “Nature Goddess” look 2nd runner-up: Charissa Poppe of Wisconsin for her “Gaia” look 3rd runner-up: Sarah Glass of Colorado for her “Spring Sensation” look 4th runner-up: Lisa Lechner of Delaware for her “Braid Tree” look.

Each runner-up received a year’s supply of Bain de Terre products in the collection of her choice. The contest was determined by a panel of hair care professionals based on execution, promotional suitability, visual appeal and natural inspiration. Number of votes on the brand’s Facebook page was also taken into consideration.
