Mitchell begins with strong, geometric cuts and then applies “shadow color”-- subtle tonal shifts that work with the cuts to create styles that reflect dimension, contrast and depth. The dramatic shapes are Mitchell and team’s interpretation of couture fashion and the lines and edges that result from folding and pressing fabric.

Mitchell created Creases and Shadows with colorist Lucie Doughty and stylists Julian Perlingiero and Takashi, assisted by Ashlea Morris and Jamie Lee Anderbery. Doughty used Paul Mitchell the color and shines XG, which will be available to salons in late fall 2013.
