Jean Sweet, editorial director for Artizen professional styling appliances, created three red carpet inspired styles, perfect for the party season. Sweet designed the three looks to be versatile, allowing stylists to adapt the styles for each client’s hair length, bone structure and personal style.

The looks were achieved using the Artizen Dolphin 1.25-inch and Midi 5/8- inch flat irons to form a random pattern of spiral curls as the basic foundation for the three styles. The larger iron is used in the crown area and back, and the 5/8 inch iron is used around the front top and sides in a waving technique. The looks all begin with the same set and are varied with the comb-out techniques.

LONG WAVES:  Styling cream and hairspray were applied following the set and the hair was brushed out into a full head of long, sexy waves.

TOPKNOT: Pull the hair up into a high ponytail at the crown and separate into three sections. The three swirled barrel curls are enhanced with a hairpiece to create the smooth bun at the front.

CHIGNON: Take sections at the top, front and sides to form waves and twisted strands at the front, which will be directed back and incorporated into the chignon.  The remaining hair is pulled through a thick donut- shaped form positioned at the nape. Separate hair into several sections and tease, smooth, roll and pin into loose barrel curls to create the loose, low chignon. See all the details on the below vidio. Visit www.artizenusa.com.
