There is something pretty exciting about seeing a soon to be special place in the early stages of its life. Goldwell and KMS California is setting up an academy in New York City, in the heart of the Meat Packing District on Little West 12th Street. Set to open in April, 2014, the 2 floor space is under construction and overseen by Sandra Humphries, Vice President of Education for Goldwell and KMS California. The 6500 square foot space will eventually offer simultaneous classes for up to 75 salon professionals and also includes:

-Views of the Manhattan skyline and the Hudson River

-A roof top classroom

-balconies for inspiration

-easy access to the High Line, one of the most popular parks in NYC set along an elevated and historic freight rail line.

Most importantly, according the Humphries, "All are welcome to this academy. This is a place for education and we want everyone to come and learn, regardless of the color in your bowl."
