GROW OUT SOLUTION: Extensions

"There are many ways to create the illusion of length using tape-in extensions," says Aurezu, director of education at Hotheads. Unlike traditional methods, tape-in extensions have fewer attachments and are designed to replicate the natural density of hair coming from the scalp. This allows stylists to conceal the wefts and blend with the existing cut. Plus, some are reusable, giving clients six to eight months of wear and allowing their natural hair to grow. "My lengthening plan with Kristin would include using 10"- 12" extensions transitioning her form her pixie to a face-framing bob," Aurezu says.
