HOW-TO: Chocolate Cherry Crush: New Hue for Brunettes

GET THE LOOK:

STEP 1: To deepen this model’s existing Level 6 Ash Blonde, Job mixed up a delicious blend of equal parts of Beth Minardi Signature Demi-Permanent Liquid Color 4BB/Cocoa Fondue + 6CG/Mango + 5 Volume Developer, and applied the formula to the root area. “You can adjust this ratio depending on the desired amount of depth,” he advises.

STEP 2: For dimension in the midlengths and ends, he applied highlights and lowlights. He highlighted with Beth Minardi Signature Artist Foils, using Joico Vero K-PAK Crème Lightener + 5Volume Veroxide. He lowlighted with Beth Minardi Signature Demi-Permanent Crème Color equal parts of 6BR/Cherry Mocha + 3BR Balsamic + 5 Volume Developer.

STEP 3: After processing for 15 minutes, he rinsed and towel dried the hair thoroughly (three towels!), then glazed all strands at the shampoo bowl for 10 minutes with Beth Minardi Signature Demi-Permanent Liquid Color equal parts 6CG/Mango + 6NB/Suede + 5 Volume Developer.

STEP 4: To style the hair, Job stuck to his belief that, “Sexy hair isn’t perfect. It should be perfectly imperfect, but still better than what you were born with!” Job applied Minardi Luxury Color Care Root Lift Elevating Mist to the roots and a mixture of Abundance Volumizing Foam and Glisten Color Reflecting Drops through the midlengths and ends before drying.
