Redken Cut-A-Thon

On September 30, 2010, Redken held yet another successful Cut-A-Thon at the Redken Exchange on 5th Avenue in NYC. Through the event, Redken raised $12,274, all of which will be donated to City of Hope, Redken’s 2010 charity partner.

Lining up as early as 8:00 a.m., 341 New York City consumers flocked to the event throughout the day to get their hair cut and styled by top Redken Stylists. Traveling from all across the country, nearly 100 Redken Artists volunteered their time and traveled from ten states to participate in this year’s Cut-A-Thon. VIP artists who participated include Sam Villa, Kris Sorbie and Rodney Cutler. Consumers left the Cut-A-Thon looking fabulous and feeling even better for contributing to a good cause. The minimum donation to City of Hope was $30, which provided the client with a shampoo, cut, blow-dry, and customized product gift bag. Francisco Ojeda, our City of Hope representative, was present to accept donations and talk with the artists and clients about the projects City of Hope is working on and how the donations will be utilized.

While waiting in line, clients had the opportunity to test out Redken’s new Nintendo Wii game, Busy Scissors, which launches this November.
