Salon Drive for Troops and Toys for Tots

Clark Russell Salon, as seen on the style network show “Split Ends”, is helping out the US Marine Corps and Blue Star Moms Group by hosting a “Toys for Tots” toy drive. The salon is offering $5.00 off any hair care retail purchase for a donation of a new unwrapped toy for the “Toys for Tots” program at their Lafayette Salon. The salon is also helping the Blue Star Moms Group with finding donated items for care packages to send overseas to the troops abroad.

The owner and celebrity stylist, Clark Russell, who is also a retired Veteran of the US Navy, came up with the idea when his client Sally Mancino was in the salon donating for their recent food drive for the Contra Costa County Food Bank. Sally, whose son is an active Marine, is also part of the Blue Star Moms Group which aids troops overseas.

The salon is encouraging their clients and members of the community to donate this season to the troops and for “Toys for Tots”. All toys for the “Toys for Tots” program may be dropped off at Clark Russell Salon before December 18.

Those who wish to donate items for care packages for the troops may also drop off items or ship them to Clark Russell Salon located at 3400 Mt Diablo Blvd Ste 3 Lafayette, CA 94549. Items in need are brown and black socks that wick away moisture, dried fruits and nuts, instant coffee and like beverages, packaged cookies, candies, crackers and baked goods, toiletries, personal hygiene items, throat lozenges and lip balm.
