NAHA Editorial Stylist of the Year Steve Elias was inspired by iconic styles and shapes to execute these four looks for Tela Beauty Organics. "The idea was to create nice, natural, slightly textured looks on the same girl using organic products and very little effort," Elias says. "I didn't want any of the hair styles to look too stuffy or done." Here, Elias pays homage to actresses Brigitte Bardot and Veronica Lake, Queen Nefertiti and Gumby.

This look is a contemporary take on Brigitte Bardot's famously tousled locks. To give the model's hair some natural movement, Elias twisted sections around his fingers before blow drying them.Elias offers a modern take on a 1940s pinup girl updo by creating a graphic angle that sweeps from right to left-similar to Gumby's head.

Elias used the Rsession Tools Nalu Waver, to create deeper waves and ridges in the model's hair. "It's my take on Veronica Lake," says Elias, who applied Tela Beauty Organics Encore, an organic styling cream to the ends to tame frizz.
This is a very graphic look that shows off a deep side part. First, Elias created two ponytails-one on the top of the head and another one a little higher than the nape. Next, he finger teased the hair at the occipital. Then, using his hands, he gathered the hair together to create a geometric shape reminiscent of Nefertiti's iconic profile. The finishing touch: Tela Beauty Organics Composer.
