The L’Oréal Professionnel Soho Academy is taking the brand’s tag “By the World’s Greatest Hairstylists” to a whole new level! Tim Hartley, Vivienne Mackinder, Oscar Blandi, Edward Tricomi, Eva Scrivo and Roy Teeluck have all chosen to partner with L’Oréal Professionnel in facilitating their own classes through the Every Six Weeks program being offered only in 2011.

“We are so proud to be able to offer hairdressers the very best in education and we have the opportunity to step it up even further through this new series,” says Kate Oechsle, Manager, L’Oréal Professionnel, Education. “An opportunity to meet and learn from these iconic designers all under one roof, does not come along often and makes it one of the academy’s can’t-miss events. “

Each one of these designers wants to share, inspire and contribute to the growth and education of other stylists, which is why they chose to teach at the Soho Academy through this program.

“I am thrilled to have been invited for the first time to present my education content at the L’Oreal Academy. I believe that post-graduate education should be a way of life, and a critical part of expanding ones repertoire within the salon. Further education enables you to stay at the top of your craft, especially in these competitive and challenging times. I like to focus on improving the quality of commercial fashion work, while exploring how to push ones creativity to keep the passion alive,” says Vivienne Mackinder.

“In our line of work, education must be a life-long pursuit. Any stylist who stops learning, inadvertently stops caring,” says Eva Scrivo.

“Teaching my area of styling is a way of handing down a craft and an art form – this is my way of taking my years of expertise and educating stylists that haven’t been in the industry for as long,” says Edward Tricomi.

“Showcasing our savoir faire through education allows stylists a point to aspire to and is important to maintain the charm and attraction to the beauty industry,” says Roy Teeluck.
