As Sebastian Professional shuts the door on round three of its What's Next Awards competition, the last three semi-finalists sculpturally fierce works of hair art bring them one step closer to the grand prize: joining Sebastian's styling team backstage at New York Fall ‘11 Fashion Week! These three looks defy gravitational pull standing tall and proud, hovering over the finish line to Fashion Week.

The Looks:

Semi-Finalist #6: Jaclyn Vegerano of Warrenton, Virginia created "Cotton Candy," an airy bouffant beckoning intrigue. Vegerano used Sebastian Professional Texturizer to blowout the hair, Shaper Zero Gravity hairspray to set the hair, and Shaper Fierce hairspray to form the geographic shape and create the illusion of a frothy treat atop her model's head.

Semi-Finalist #7: Steve Elias of San Francisco, California crafted "Sky High," a testament to the power of Sebastian Professional Re-Shaper hairspray. Elias' densely molded yet naturally textured look is a throwback to the 80's when asymmetry prevailed. After playing up his model's natural hair texture, he teased and sculpted her tresses into place.

Semi-Finalist #8: Fumi Studios of Salt Lake City, Utah illustrated their take on "Survival" with a modern twist on the retro bouffant. Utilizing an assortment of pinned back pieces varying in size and shape, the updo is orderly in certain places and disheveled in others. Sebastian Professional Shaper Zero Gravity hair spray was applied prior to pinning and Shaper Fierce hair spray was used to freeze the moment.
