Robert J. Bushy is an award-winning stylist and creative director from Madison, Wisconsin, whose many accomplishments include being named a NAHA finalist several times in both the makeover and avant garde categories. Bushy keeps his skills fresh by creating frequent style collections, and here he shares some inspirations from his newest trend release, Metamorphosis.

“This look can transform from a commercial look to an evening look to an editorial look,” says Bushy. Bushy used cutting techniques and sectioning patterns to create intersecting and overlapping shapes and disconnected lines that build natural movement into the hair. Starting with a pale blonde base, Bushy added shades of silver, red and charcoal to accent the style. He also combined these shades into a dramatic mulberry tone that is repeated in the soft make-up palette.
