Three highlights of your career:

  1. My current position would be one of my highlights. It is a role that was created just for me to allow me. I am the first ever Ambassador.   I spend my “work” time face to face with fellow stylists and future stylists sharing my passion, love and experiences either at shows or at intimate events.  I bring them into our family and I thank and spread the love to existing family members.
  2. Prior to my current role I was the AVP US Education with Matrix. I was responsible for our 500 Artistic Educators and all education in the US. I attainted this high profile role with one of the largest manufactures in the industry through my dedication, life experience and beliefs of supporting  fellow stylists. I accomplished this with a cosmetology license and a high school diploma in my hand.
  3. The moment I realized I loved educating. I was a successful stylist behind the chair, working 4 days a week and training an assistant. The salon I worked in had a rule that if you had an assistant you needed to teach the class at least once. I taught foiling and loved it. My joy at educating must have shone through and I was asked to continue teaching the assistants. I then pursued a formal way of educating and become a Clairol Partner in Color and a LOGICS Guild Educator and untimely joined Matrix full time 18 years ago.

Beauty legend you admire: Ann Mincey. When I was a brand new stylist, I had my license for maybe 3 years I met Ann at an event. She had the most beautiful red hair I had ever seen My current position would be one of my highlights. It is a role that was created just for me to allow me. I am the first ever Ambassador.   I spend my “work” time face to face with fellow stylists and future stylists sharing my passion, love and experiences either at shows or at intimate events.  I bring them into our family and I thank and spread the love to existing family members.

Choose beauty because: I don’t know any other industry where women are so prevalent in powerful positions while still touching the members of it with their human side, nurturing their creative souls and helping them to imagine all they can be.

Quote or mantra: I believe you have to give it away to keep it.
