Women of Beauty: Marzia JohnsonLicensed:  Miss Marty's Beauty School, 1994

Three highlights of your career:

• Opened my first salon in downtown San Francisco - 1998

• After 11 successful years, I sold the salon and opened my namesake salon; Marzia Salon, which overlooks Union Square in the heart of San Francisco.

•  In partnership with IZUNAMI, I am developing a new line of beauty products that will transform the industry.

Beauty legend you respect: Beth Minardi.  She is not only a master colorist, but also a hugely successful educator and businesswomen. She exemplifies the endless possibilities that exist beyond simply being a hairdresser.

Choose beauty because: In today's world, hairdressing is no longer just a service position. With talent and hard work, the possibilities are truly endless. In fact, today's top hairdressers are often superstars in their own right. The beauty industry sdoes not have a glass ceiling.

Quote or mantra: It is not enough to see or know the beauty of something. You have to feel it and be moved by it.
