Three highlights of your career:

  1. Meeting Vidal Sassoon this past year.  It was the most amazing feeling sitting next to my hero.
  2. USA Water Polo has chosen Malibu C as their official hair care sponsor and I had the opportunity to lead a team of hairdressers in processing Malibu Makeovers on the inspirational athletes on the USA Women’s National Water Polo team, many of whom will participate in the 2012 Olympics.
  3. Being selected as a spokesperson to share my experiences with other colorists on video produced by many of the salon industry leading publishers attending the national beauty shows and circulated to thousands of my peers wanting to know more about new color secrets and techniques we all love to share with one another.

Legend you respect: Annie Humphries. She is the legendary International Color Director for Vidal Sassoon, and I trained with her in the United Kingdom. She influenced me with new techniques she and her creative team developed. Annie started looking at hair color and perming as an art, rather than just a way to “touch up roots.”  Colorists around the world today use Annie’s methods, whether they realize it or not.

Choose beauty because: The variety of  “careers in one,” as I now have.   In one week, I was in Las Vegas in meetings at Cosmoprof, conducting sales meetings, educating store professionals and still taking care of my favorite clients back in the salon. You can meet so many great people, which leads to great opportunities.
