Ted Gibson and the team styled the hair for the Carmen Marc Valvo Fall 2012 show during New York Fashion Week. “It's couture meets masculinity,” Ted told me shortly before the show began. “ I wanted the hair to be very masculine and strong with a deep side part and slicked back look, keeping the hair close to the head. The bun has a strong look to it as well because I’ve shaped it more triangular as opposed to the soft round bun everyone is used to. I also wanted the look to have a brilliant shine, for it to look almost like glass.” Check out this video where Ted tells you how to get the look.

GET THE LOOK:

Part the hair with a deep side part.
Take one inch sections and flat iron to straight.
Liberally apply Ted Gibson "tame it lotion" to the hair while brushing it back into a pony tail.
Secure with an elastic at the nape of the neck
Twist hair tightly then wrap hair triangularly around the elastic.
Secure with pins.
