Matrix decided to sponsor one of the last shows of New York's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and offered Modern Salon Media unprecedented access to both front and back of house. The show: Strut, The Fashionable Mom Show, was special for several reasons. All the models were MOMS and the fashions are current and available in stores now (most shows at fashion week project for the following season).

I had a chance to meet with lead hairdesigner Matrix Global Artist Franco Della Grazia while he was finishing a look and he filled me in on how he created he gorgeous blow out for each model. After the show, I met with Matrix General Manager Colin Walsh to get more insight into their participation. Finally, I grabbed model Melissa Gerstein to get some feedback from her and how she felt about the whole event. It was a wonderful event for all of us, and a great way to end fashion week.
