The Artist:
Beth Minardi
Celebrity colorist, education expert, spokesperson for Joico Vero K-PAK Color, and founder of Minardi Luxury Color Care

The Vision:
Summer is all about blonding. Blonding is all about dimension and shade on shade reflection. For Minardi, it’s really all about application, placement of color and after-color care. She has perfected her American Baliage technique, and teaches it to colorists who want to master believable contrast and stunning dimension.

The Application:
Base: Left unaltered
Double Wrap: This blonde on blonde procedure requires what Minardi calls the “Double Wrap.” She first uses her American Baliage technique to achieve a “Lit From Within” effect using Joico Crème Lightener.
Foiling: Many of the foils are enveloped in formula mid-length through ends, omitting the root area. Foils are placed in strong angles around the face. The back part of the crown is excluded.
Processing: Process for 30 minutes at room temperature and then shampoo and condition with Minardi Nourishing Wash and Minardi Nourishing After Wash. Blow dry hair smooth.
Blonde-on-Blonde: Next, the hair was again highlighted with Joico Vero K-PAK HLG mixed with 40-volume developer, using a standard wrap working from the back toward the front. Those strands that were not saturated in the formula were treated with Minardi Pre Wash Therapy.
Processing: Check foils every 10 minutes. After 40 minutes, hair was rinsed then shampooed and conditioned with Minardi Nourishing Wash and Minardi Nourishing After Wash.
