PBA Symposium, sponsored by the Professional Beauty Association, is a leading educational event held in conjunction with PBA Beauty Week and Cosmoprof North America. Symposium brings together a roster of professionals from both within and outside of the beauty industry to conduct classes, seminars and demonstrations for all members of the industry—manufacturers, distributors, manufacturers representatives and licensed professionals.

The keynote speaker at PBA Symposium 2012 will be Dennis Snow, a former executive with Walt Disney Corp., who perfected the company’s legendary customer service. He founded the Disney Institute, which consults with some of the world’s largest companies on service philosophies and teaches Disney’s and Snow’s secrets for outstanding customer service and its impact on business and personal life.

Snow shares his insights with many corporations and media outlets and recently published his latest book, Lessons from the Mouse: A Guide for Applying Disney World’s Secrets of Success to Your Organization, Your Career and Your Life.

Snow’s address will directly follow the PBA Annual Business Forum on Sunday, July 22, which begins at 8:00 am.

PBA Symposium presenters will include Deena Ebert, expert on workplace dynamics; Neil Ducoff, salon business expert, who will present “Achieving Extraordinary”; Larry Kopsa on accounting and cash management; Gordon Miller and Kina Kovner on creating salon staff engagement, Mary Brunetti, creative director of Sally Herschberger’s New York City salon, on building an apprentice program and stylist and trend setter Vivienne Mackinder on expanding professional and personal development.

PBA Beauty Week will be held July 21-24, 2012 at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
