The softly curled upstyle and whimsical bubbles created by Matrix Artistic Directors Brian and Sandra Smith are perfect for the season’s weddings, graduations and parties.

As part of a color education shoot and demo for JCPenney Salon stylists, the Smiths used a combination of Matrix SoColor, Color Sync and V-Light De-Dusted Lightener to “save” the model’s hair from her DIY Color attempt.

Prior to creating two finishes, they first performed a color “rescue” by adjusting the model’s base, followed by diagonal foil highlights and a pastel toner to create naturallooking color. The two textured, romantic styles seen here both begin with a strong thermal set, and end with a creative eye.
