NYFW: TIGI's Nick Irwin at Nicholas K PLUS Skull Cap AccessoriesThe hair for Nicholas K's September 6th show at Lincoln Center for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week had a very sexy '90s grunge feel to it--thanks to TIGI hair lead Nick Irwin for Catwalk.

Sixty-one looks were debuted at NYFW's first official Spring Summer 2012 show--and Nicholas K definitely didn't disappoint. Wedges, rust-colored shorts for men and women, cropped blouses and tanks, and sweater dress-inspired tops were hot on the runway--but the hair looks were really exciting.

As beauty editors, we want to see something unique, something fresh, and definitely not something that covers the hair!

But, when we saw Irwin's skull caps covering the models' heads, we weren't disappointed at all! In fact, it was pretty cool--especially when paired with the two-knot twists on the side.

Even the male models sported the look!

This boho-chic look used TIGI's Session Series Salt Spray for texture and pliable hold, and knots that were looped through elastics.

How To Winterize a Summer Blonde: Babylights with Reverse Balayage using Redken pH Bonder

Alison Alhamed and Jamie Newman | November 29, 2016

Our summer blonde made the perfect model to demonstrate the beauty of Redken’s new pH Bonder because although she isn’t frequently coloring her hair, living in New York City means she’s walking outside a lot with exposure to the sun and city elements—plus thermal damage from regular use of a curling wand or flatiron. So with protection and hair health being the two key benefits of the additive, she was all in.

Maggie Mulhern | November 27, 2016

"My client is usually a short haired beauty, but she wanted to try to grow her hair out," says Alysha Cornetta (@AmoreHairDesign) of Amore Hair Design, Gallery Salons, Foxboro, MA. "We applied the Donna Bella tape-in hair extensions. We originally got them to match her before color but then after consultation she really wanted to be red again." Get the details for the how-to.
