Alyssa Wiener (@lysseon) an artist at Stylin' in norwalk, CT says "Vibrants are definitely my favorite, especially when someone like client Jordan gives me vague guidelines and let's me run with it!" Wiener accepted the vague guidelines and decided to keep Jordan a dimensional turquoise, while modernizing the look with a sleek A-Line bob. As far as the formulation is concerned, Wiener acknowledges the 2 different formulas are somewhat similar, "But they are different enough to add dimension, and the color blocking gives it movement."

Here Wiener offers the HOW TO:

Step 1: Apply to regrowth: Wella Blondor + 40 volume developer.

Step 2: Process for 30 minutes, lifting to pale yellow. Shampoo, condition and dry. Cut the hair into an A-line bob.

Step 3: Create a horseshoe section starting at her parietal going to a point toward the top of the occipital (like a triangle). To the strands below this section apply a lighter blue: 1 1/2oz Manic Panic Atomic Turquoise, 1/2oz Manic Panic Voodoo Blue, 1/2oz Pravana Vivids Green.

Step 4:  To the hair within the horseshoe apply a darker blue: 1 oz Manic Panic After Midnight Blue, 1 oz Manic Panic Atomic Turquoise, 1/2oz Pravana Green.

Step 5: Process for 30 minutes under heat. Rinse with color water and style with Scruples Magical Serum.

NOTES and TIPS:

-Make sure to take thin sections (enough to read a newspaper through) and saturate super well.

-Because I didn't dilute the color at all, it evened out the faded color she had from back in July.

-I did her haircut after i lightened her roots and perfected it after the Blues were finished so no color was wasted.

-As I've said before, all my clients with fun colors get sent home with a take care card: don't wash every day, only in cold water when you do, use a heat protect, and come back in a few weeks if needed for a deep conditioner or reglaze.
