Make ponytails glam and chic this holiday season! When time is of the essence, a complicated updo isn't always feasible, but a pretty pony might be the answer to your client's (and your!) holiday party needs.
Pureology Artistic Ambassador Natasha Sunshine shares how to do speedy sophistication with a high and sleek ponytail.
GET THE LOOK: HIGH, SLEEK PONY
STEP 1: Begin with damp hair. Apply a pea- to nickel-sized dollop of Pureology Curl Complete Taming Butter two inches from roots to tips. Blowdry and flatiron hair straight. Add another pea-size of Taming Butter to ends before ironing.
STEP 2: Tease hair from front hairline to crown by taking 1-inch partings. Use a comb or natural bristle brush to lightly (without removing tease) pull hair back into a high ponytail. Make sure placement is sitting high on the head for a more dramatic effect. Spray Pureology Strengthening Control zero-dulling hairspray, then smooth over pulled-up hair with your palm to smooth away loose hairs.
STEP 3: Take a 1/4-inch section of hair from under your pony and wrap around the base of your elastic band. Spray Strengthening Control and pin the wrap into your pony with a bobby pin to hide it; place end of wrapped hair under the ponytail if at all possible.
STEP 4: Give a final spritz of Strengthening Control Mist, and you're done!
