Sport Clips Haircuts announced its primary sponsorship of Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation (AADF) to fund flight experiences for veterans living in long-term care communities. In its second year of supporting AADF, Sport Clips will help make 520 flights possible in cities across the US this year, up from last year’s 436 flights, in a restored 1940’s Boeing Stearman bi-plane. The first flight of the season will take place in Kissimmee, Fla. on March 13.

“It is so meaningful for these veterans to experience the thrill of boarding a plane that was used to train military aviators in the late ‘30’s and early ‘40’s, and take to the skies for the flight of a lifetime,” said Gordon Logan, founder and CEO of Sport Clips, himself an Air Force veteran. “This is a vestige of their military service, and to see the memories flooding back when they climb into the passenger seat is priceless. Making these flights possible is just one more way Sport Clips can say ‘thank you’ to those who have served our country.”
