Lisa Hart-Walker (@superstylist5711), a stylist at Creations Salon and Spa, Rochester Hills MI, "loves everything about doing hair and I'm well versed in all hair textures but over the last few years my main focus has been color. I'm adamant about keeping the integrity of the hair my first priority."

Hart-Walker got a chance to putting that love and integrity to the test for this client. "This young lady came in looking for a drastic change. Her hair had been previously colored red and shaved on one side."

Here Hart-Walker shares the details for this dramatic transformation:

STEP 1: Pre cut the hair by putting it in ponytails and cut above the rubber bands.

STEP 2: Prep the hair with Malibu C Crystal Gel treatment. Process for 45 minutes.

STEP 3: Lighten the hair using the Paul Mitchell Platinum Card Technique. Process for 40 minutes.

STEP 4: Apply porosity equalizer and then apply the follow toner: Redken Shades EQ 1/2 0z 09V with 1oz clear plus 1 1/2 oz processing solution. Process for 20 minutes.
