"We had a new client come in looking for a brand new look," says Chris Mackey (@chris_mackey) of Against the Grain Salon, Spring, Texas, who joined forces with Harley Mangum (@hairbygnarlyharley) to make it happen. "She wanted to look completely different. We decided to bring her silver and cut off most of her hair. She also wanted to undercut the bottom of her asymmetrical bob and throw in a small design."

Mangum shares the color HOW TO:

Step 1: Bleach with Wella Blonder and 30 volume developer from mids to ends with 30 volume. Process for 30 minutes.

Step 2: Then mix more Blondor, switching to 20 volume. Apply to the re growth. and pull through the ends where the bleach started to dry out. Process for another 20 minutes. After processing shampoo and condition the hair.

Step 3: Tone on damp hair with Wella Color Touch 8/81 from mid to ends. Process for 10 minutes then rinse and dry completely.

Step 4: Then apply Wella Color Touch 7/89 to roots and random places throughout mid length and ends. Process according to manufacturers instructions and then rinse, shampoo and condition the hair.
