A lovely do in cotton-candy hues.

Meghan Boyd (@hairbymegb) of The Cut Above in London, Ontario made a compromise with her client, who came to her as a referral. When Boyd showed her client color swatches of Schwarzkopf Pearlescent, Boyd was itching to try out the Lavender, while her client loved the Pink Candy color. So they decided together to incorporate both, creating a perfect marriage of pretty pastels.

Boyd said that the client came in with two inches at the root of brassy level 7, level 10 mid-length with left over green Manic Panic and golden level 8/9 ends. In order to prep the hair, Boyd used Blondeme Premium Lift before she started adding color.

FORMULA:
Bleach: Blondeme Premium Lift
Pre Tone: Redken Shades Eq 9v.
Pink: Schwarzkopf Pearlescent "Pastel Candy" P9,5-89 with Schwarzkopf 10 vol.
Purple: Schwarzkopf Pearlescent "Pastel Lavender" P9,5-29 with Schwarzkopf 10 vol.

GET THE LOOK:
STEP 1: Lifted roots with Blondeme lightener and Blondeme developer 20 vol.
STEP 2: Shampoo cocktail out the Manic Panic, as well as the golden ends.
STEP 3: Once the whole head had lifted to a level 10, rinse and tone with Redken Shades EQ 9v for 1-2 minutes, rinse and fully blow dry.
STEP 4: “On fully dry hair, I foiled a T-zone of the pink "Pastel Candy" as well as free handed it on where I thought it would look good,” Boyd said.
STEP 5: “I then applied the "Pastel Lavender" to the roots first, let it sit for 10 minutes and then on the ends. I left the roots longer so it would be a darker root. I let this process for 40 minutes. Rinse, condition and voila!”
STEP 6: To style, Boyd used Pureology "Colour fanatic", Morrocan oil and Redken Fashion Work 12, and then curled with her 1-1/4 inch barrel Babyliss curling iron.
