Inspired by the sand art hair that has been splashing color all over Vivid Artistic Hair Design's Instagram, Kelly O'Leary (@hairbymisskellyo) of Salon One Eleven in Winnipeg, Canada, wanted to try out some rainbow locks on her own client. She created what she calls "the perfect mix of ice cream and cotton candy that is summer, personified."

"My model came to me with prelightened hair (rare, but amazing!)," O'Leary said. "I used Pravana lavender on the roots, then went in, starting at the bottoms, and handpainted blissful blue, pink, mint, peach and yellow Pravana colors...I melted three tones, keeping the neon yello at the bottom."

Alicia Urban (@aliciaurbanhair), a L’Oréal Professionnel Artist based Haute Headz Salon, Tallahassee, Florida, says “My client's hair had been fading back to red and brassiness every time she had her color done. She wanted to transition back to brunette while still leaving dimension and no warmth.” Here Urban shares the details for this makeover, using all L’Oréal Professionnel color:

MAKEOVER: Three Sessions Of Beauty

Jenn Malone (@jmalonehair) at Agence Salon, San Dimas, California, says her client "had 85% virgin hair. Her goal is to be a 'rooty' platinum blonde while still keeping the 'lived in' look. My main goal was to get her to her desired color, while still maintaining the integrity of her hair. Patience is the key in achieving this!" How to here.
