Barbara Washington (@barbaraanne7) of Bliss Salon, Knoxville, TN, needed to perform 3 steps to turn this virgin level 4/5 hair to gorgeous teal. Here she shares the HOW TO:
STEP 1: Apply Kenra Lightener with 40 volume away from scalp to create shadow with balayage face framing pieces.
STEP 2: Prepare formulas:
Formula A: Kenra permanent color- 1oz. 3N, 1oz.10 volume, ribbon of blue booster.
Formula B: Kenra Color Creatives Violet/Blue.
Formula C: Kenra CC Blue.
Formula D: Kenra CC Blue/Teal.
Formula E: Kenra CC Teal.
Formula F: Kenra CC Teal/White.
STEP 3: Apply Formula A to roots avoiding face framing pieces. Freely drag color down to begin color melt with Kenra Color Creatives (Formulas B-F) to fill & build pigment into hair. Process 30 minutes. Rinse and shampoo.
STEP 4: Prepare formulas:
Formula A: Pravana Vivid Blue/Clear
Formula B: Pravana Vivid Locked-in Blue/Locked-in Teal/Clear
Formula C: Pravana Vivid Locked-in Teal
Formula D: Pravana Vivid Locked-in Teal/Clear
STEP 5: Part off in 4 quadrants along preferred part. Using diagonal sections, apply formulas A-D from top to bottom in color melt technique away from roots, applying Formula C&D farther up in front quadrants to face frame. Process 20-30 minutes. Rinse and shampoo.
