Feathered brows, as opposed to harsh, sharp lines, are a more natural-looking take on the bold-brow trend we have been seeing this year both on and off the runways. This Cara Delevingne-inspired look calls for some perfectly organized chaos.
To give this soft, feminine brow look to your clients, Tammy Fisher, brow expert at Boom Boom Brow Bar in New York, says to first instruct clients to grow in their brows for four to six weeks before having them professionally shaped. This will give you more to work with and is necessary in achieving a feathered brow.
When it is time for the client to come in, trim some hairs slightly, but maintain long ones in order to keep brows looking perfectly irregular and feathered.
Feathered brows are a perfect upsell opportunity. To maintain them, suggest the following to your clients:
- Brow Powder: Fill in any gaps before applying gel to add even more definition. We love this one from Vincent Longo Cosmetics.
- Brow Gel: This will set brows and keep them in place all day. We love this one from Boom Boom Brow Bar.
- Brow Tint: Be bold! This will maximize the look of the brows. We love this set from Grande Naturals.
