Luxury Brand Partners (LBP) just wrapped up Front Row, an amazing show billed as "A Hair Festival Of Epic Proportions." Did it live up to its billing? You bet!

The four day event, based in the Wynwood Art District in Miami, offered CONSTANT education, excitement, fun, networking, entertainment and all over epic-ness. 2500 salon pros were there to get inspiration from a crazy line up of artists including a top team of ORIBE artists like James Pecis, Kien Hoang, Louis Orozco, Coby Alcantar, Joey George, Nicci Welsh, Ronnie Stam, Vivienne Mackinder and a color presentation from Artistic Directors from Goldwell. R&Co co-founders Garren, Thom Priano and Howard McLaren presented on stage, transforming models through cut and style. V76's Vaughn Acord shared his vision on the world of grooming and styling archetypes and a team from IGK presented their interpretation of ballerinas to a standing room only crowd.

It was a magical show, with the "cool" factor off the richter scale.

There were SOOOOO many, but here are some HIGHLIGHTS:

-Premiere of the documetary The Reset, the film created by Howard McLaren offering an overview of the professional industry and the crisis regarding de-regulation and education.

-John Paul Dejoria earned a Lifetime Achievement Award from LBP for his efforts in the beauty industry.

-Comedian Natasha Leggaro kept the censor finger on alert as she hosted the opening night presentation.

-Key note speaker Jim Collins offered tips on how to turn a salon from Good To Great.

-Simon Doonan shared tips on how to set up and design your salon window to attract more clients.

-#LBPFrontRow and #ORIBEOBSESSED trended worldwide on Instagram all weekend.

-Eden and Beverly Sassoon and Jonathan Antin discussed the legacy of Vidal Sassoon and previewed #vidallovestory.

-David and Alexis Thurston presented the Butterfly Circus featuring top talent from the social media world offering the latest in cut, color and design.

-The Smith & Cult team presented nail design through a performance called "The Diary of a Beauty Junkie".

-Idealogue, the the day long salon owner forum, offered advice and tips to 300 salon owners through presentations and 5 "Ted Talk" like speeches.

The show floor was equally exciting where sponsors shared their latest products, tools and techniques. The sponsors included: Goldwell, Mindbody, Hairtalk extensions, IGK, Bmac scissors, Becca, Professional Beauty Association, Fiji water, Fontainebleau Miami Beach, King Estate, Lou La Vie, Vita Coco, The only skin care, Green Circle Salons, Shanti Energy & Protein Bars, Berentzen, Perrier, Foxhole, Drunken Dragon, Yosi Samra, Irie Foundation, SRX Events, Garston Group, Cindarella Paris, Sweaty Betty London, Fever-Tree, RevitaLash Cosmetics, Regenesis, Death’s Door Spirits, Cangria, Ergo, Swarm Event Agency and our own SALON TODAY and MODERN SALON MEDIA.

There were golf and poker matches, parties and total fun in the sun. There were reasons to go outside and to stay in. It was epic from start to finish, head to toe.

How To Winterize a Summer Blonde: Babylights with Reverse Balayage using Redken pH Bonder

Alison Alhamed and Jamie Newman | November 29, 2016

Our summer blonde made the perfect model to demonstrate the beauty of Redken’s new pH Bonder because although she isn’t frequently coloring her hair, living in New York City means she’s walking outside a lot with exposure to the sun and city elements—plus thermal damage from regular use of a curling wand or flatiron. So with protection and hair health being the two key benefits of the additive, she was all in.
