A Shining, Silver Grey

Anne Moratto | March 3, 2016 | 9:34 AM

Samantha Tarini (@deathbycouture) in Las Vegas, NV took her guest, who is "pretty light anyway, about a level 7 and pretty ashy" to this shining silver/grey that looks both on-trend and classically beautiful, at the same time.

PROCESS

STEP ONE: "I started by doing a very heavy highlight with Schwarzkopf Vario Blond bleach and 20 volume, using diagonal sections and alternating weaving with thin slices."

STEP TWO: "Then I colored the base with Goldwell TopChic 8A and 10 volume."

STEP THREE: "After rinsing and drying completely, I foiled out random pieces throughout with Redken Shades EQ 6T, then covered the rest with Wella, 3 parts T18 + 1 part 050 and 10 volume and processed for 15 minutes."

STEP FOUR: Washed, dried, and styled.

How To Winterize a Summer Blonde: Babylights with Reverse Balayage using Redken pH Bonder

Alison Alhamed and Jamie Newman | November 29, 2016

Our summer blonde made the perfect model to demonstrate the beauty of Redken’s new pH Bonder because although she isn’t frequently coloring her hair, living in New York City means she’s walking outside a lot with exposure to the sun and city elements—plus thermal damage from regular use of a curling wand or flatiron. So with protection and hair health being the two key benefits of the additive, she was all in.
