"Maddy is a sassy young lady who works in marketing," says Karen Lewis (@Blondieshair) of Blondies Of Melbourne, Fitzroy, Melbourne, Australia. "She had been thinking about changing her hair for a while but after having her signature copper hair for so many years couldn't think of any other color which would suit."

Lewis suggested a complete flip up of color, from luscious copper locks to a dusty dimensional pastel wonder to bring out some attitude and sass to compliment Maddy's personality.

Here are the steps to this pretty finish:

Step 1: Lighten with Pravana Pure Light Powder lightener and 30 volume developer with Olaplex. Apply through the mid lengths and ends in solid back to back foils.

Step 2: Process for 1 hour or until lifted to a yellow. Then apply the same lightener with  20 volume developer with Olaplex to the roots. Process to pale yellow. Rinse.

Step 3: Tone roots with silver: L'Oreal Professionnel Richesse 9.11 + drop 6.11. Process for 10 minutes. Rinse and dry.

Step 4: Apply in alternating diagonal sections using Evo Hair Fabulouso Pro (a customizable direct dye):

Repair base + blue

Repair base + violet

Repair base + platinum + red

Repair base + green + drop yellow

Step 5: Process for 20 minutes. Rinse.

Step 6: To style, apply Evo Hair Root Canal volumizing spray to the roots and blowout spray through the mid lengths and ends. Working in a brick layer pattern, following the natural parting, take small sections folding perm paper over the tips of the hair and wind around pipe cleaners before folding the ends in. Once dry, unwind the pipe cleaners and shake out the curl with Evo hair Shebang-a-bang dry spray wax.
