The nude haircolor trend is taking the beauty industry by storm right now, and spearheading the movement is Schwarzkopf Professional with their new powdery, sandy and earthy tones that embody both elegance and restraint. Trending in the fashion industry currently, the new, nude tones have now made its way to hair! Schwarzkopf Professional has drawn inspiration from this subtle, authentic color trend, providing hairstylists with the opportunity to create refreshing looks for their clients this summer.

Schwarzkopf Professional's IGORA ROYAL NUDE TONES provides hairstylists with six delicately earthy, powdery tones with color effects that range from weightless blonde to intense brunette.

The technology of the Nude Tones is a unique fusion of pure beiges with rosy undertones, for a dose of style, and a raw, yet elegant edge. The tones represent the new generation of multi-natural beiges, and cover levels 4 to 12, and provide 70% white hair coverage. The sophisticated, yet commercial shades can work for every client, while providing an illuminated, natural look.

Here, Schwarzkopf Professional provides a complete how-to (with pics!) on how to achieve this multi-tonal "Pure Contouring" blonde haircolor using Nudes Tones.

FORMULAS:

COLOR 1: IGORA ROYAL NUDE TONES 12-46 and IGORA ROYAL Oil Developer 9% (30 Vol.) 1:2

COLOR 2: IGORA ROYAL NUDE TONES 12-46 and IGORA ROYAL Oil Developer 12% (40 Vol.) 1:2

COLOR 3: IGORA ROYAL NUDE TONES 7-46 and IGORA ROYAL Oil Developer 3% (10 Vol.) 1:1

COLOR 4: IGORA ROYAL NUDE TONES 7-46 and IGORA ROYAL Oil Developer 6% (20 Vol.) 1:1

THE PROCESS:

STEP 1: Create a diagonal section on both sides of the head from the ears down to the center nape area.

STEP 2: Continue the sectioning from both ears towards the front hairline and fix the rest of the hair with a clip.

STEP 3: Apply COLOR 1 to the re-growth area of the first section starting at the back of the nape working towards the front hairline taking fine slices.

STEP 4: Apply COLOR 2 to the mid-lengths and ends of the first sections.

STEP 5: Apply COLOR 3 to the re-growth area of the remaining back and top section of the head.

STEP 6: Apply COLOR 4 to the mid-lengths and ends of the back sections.

How To Winterize a Summer Blonde: Babylights with Reverse Balayage using Redken pH Bonder

Alison Alhamed and Jamie Newman | November 29, 2016

Our summer blonde made the perfect model to demonstrate the beauty of Redken’s new pH Bonder because although she isn’t frequently coloring her hair, living in New York City means she’s walking outside a lot with exposure to the sun and city elements—plus thermal damage from regular use of a curling wand or flatiron. So with protection and hair health being the two key benefits of the additive, she was all in.
