Classified Advertising Manager at MODERN SALON and a respected veteran of the professional beauty industry, Rudolph "Rudy" Zamora recently passed away at age 66.

"I met Rudy in 1984 when he was working for Redken as a marketing manager in Canoga Park," Gregg McConnell, Western region sales manager for MODERN SALON, says. "Rudy has a degree in marketing and also a cosmetology license. He had two stints with Redken serving in marketing and sales. He also had positions with Aveda, Conair, and Goldwell. Rudy was also Education Director at TIGI and worked with Russell Zin’s Texas distributorship Fineline. In later years, he worked in marketing with Thermafuse.

"Rudy was a unique person, incredibly friendly, great smile, and if you were a friend -he was a lifelong friend," McConnell says. "He was an eternal Cubs fan and avid golfer.
