Anna Todd (@Hairbyannatodd) of Dolce Vita Salon, Orlando, FL., says "My client wanted to go back to blonde after trying out red for a few months, but save the integrity of her hair. We talked about Olaplex and the possibilities it allows without the damage and we decided to go for it! We achieved the final look after 2 sessions of lightening."

Session 1 (pre lightening):

Step 1: Apply 1 packet L'Oreal Technique Effasol Foam Color Remover + 2 1/2 oz. 20 volume developer. Apply throughout the hair.

Step 2: Process for 45 minutes to remove almost all of the red pigment from her hair.

Step 3: Next apply L'Oreal Professionnel Blond Studio Lightener + 20 volume + 1/8 oz Olaplex from mids to ends, then go through and apply to the roots. Process for 30 minutes with a cap under heat.

Step 4: Tone hair with Kenra Demi 1/2 oz 10SM + 1/2 oz 9VM + 2 oz 9 volume for 20 minutes. Follow with Olaplex no. 2.

Session 2 formula:

Step 5: Apply color. Roots: L'Oreal Blond Studio Lightener + 30 volume + 1/8 oz Olaplex. To the ends apply: L'Oreal Blond Studio Lightener + 20 volume + 1/8 oz Olaplex.

Step 6: Cover with cap and process under heat for 30-45 minutes, or until the hair is palest yellow.

Step 7: Tone hair roots to ends with Kenra Demi 10SM + 9 vol for 20 minutes. Follow with Olaplex no. 2.

Step 8: Along parietal behind the ear place 2 teal strands (Hair Talk Micro Tape-In Extensions).
