Makeover: Going Gentle on a First-Timer

Jess Switzer (@jessswitzer_hair) of Salon Arté in Wayland, MA (@salonarteboston), says this client has never colored her hair before. "So she wanted something low maintenance and natural."

Here, Switzer shares the how to:

Step 1: Balayage throughout the hair using Wella Free Lights with 40 volume. Process for 40 minutes.

Step 2: Glaze with Wella Illumina 10/05 to accent her natural warmth. Process for 10 minutes.
