Makeover: Dulled Fashion To Bright Sunrise

Amber Mahaffey (@coloroutsidethelineshs), Surfside Beach, SC, shares the details for this lovely transformation:   

Step 1: Pre lighten midshaft to 2 inches from ends using Redken Flash Lift with 30 volume developer with a splash of 40 to make 35, blended with Olaplex. Wrap in foil and process for 20 minutes.

Step 2: Paint roots and ends with same bleach and process an additional 30 minutes with lights. Rinse.

Step 3: Tone with Redken Shades EQ 9v 9b. Process for 5 minutes and then rinse. Apply an Olaplex treatment. Dry the hair.

Step 4: Mix 3 formulas, all Pravana: A - Magenta with a splash of Wild Orchid and Neon Pink, B - Magenta with a splash of Orange, C - Neon Yellow. 

Step 5: Color melt by applying formula A 4 inches out, and all the way down on some pieces. Alternate/melt the other 2 formulas down other pieces. Process for 30 minutes and then rinse.
