Pravana imagined a world where banding was banished, blondes were created in seconds and Vivids transformations occurred in under an hour. And to realize this magical salon kingdom, they now introduce The Blonde Wand and Pure Light Crème Lightener. When used in tandem, Pravana says the two will lighten up to seven levels and help cut processing time, thereby creating more revenue.  Magic, indeed.

“Seriously, there is nothing available anywhere that can duplicate the results of the Pure Light Crème Lightener with The Blonde Wand,” said Nikki Lee, celebrity stylist, co-owner of Nine Zero One Salon and Pravana Guest Artist. “The fastest approach to lightening that leaves blondes in better shape than any lightener on its own. I know, it sounds crazy, but it’s true. If you don’t have an assistant, this is like having one because it makes your work easier and faster.”

Not a flat iron, The Blonde Wand was engineered for special effects blonding and the plates do not make contact, allowing colorists to glide, hover and tap over the foils.

Pure Light Crème Lightener’s formula is enriched with pure coconut oil to help protect hair. It’s recommended for both on and off-the-scalp lightening and special, heat-enhanced processing.

Pravana Regional Artistic Trainer, Lisette Cruz, says the two tools have helped her break through some blonding barriers.

“The Blonde Wand helps me kick that brass and get rid of old ombrés for women who want to go back to blonde,” Cruz says. “If I’ve been adding dark to a client’s base, with their ends staying light, I know that inch of regrowth is going to lift so fast while the midshaft could show banding. With the lightener and the wand, it’s getting rid of the lines. It also helps me take out those dyes that just won’t move which is so important for color corrections.”

The Blonde Wand and Pure Light Crème Lightener will be available October 2016 at SalonCentric and State & RDA Pro Mart stores nationwide.

How To Winterize a Summer Blonde: Babylights with Reverse Balayage using Redken pH Bonder

Alison Alhamed and Jamie Newman | November 29, 2016

Our summer blonde made the perfect model to demonstrate the beauty of Redken’s new pH Bonder because although she isn’t frequently coloring her hair, living in New York City means she’s walking outside a lot with exposure to the sun and city elements—plus thermal damage from regular use of a curling wand or flatiron. So with protection and hair health being the two key benefits of the additive, she was all in.
