OPI Sponged Ombre Manicure How-To

New York-based OPI technician Leonobi Galvez is constantly looking for ways to create fresh designs on nails. Although classic application will always have its place, it’s the less traditional color delivery systems that keeps nail artists’ creative juices flowing.

“There are so many easy and efficient methods to get interesting nail art finishes,” Galvez says. “Playing with non-conventional tools helps to create different effects.”

MODERN asked Galvez to come up with a creative finish that celebrates color and texture for this session. After digging around, Galvez pulled a sponge from her “bag of tricks” and proceeded to apply color and texture to add the perfect finishing touch to our model.
