Balayage and Toning For Sophisticated Beauty

Maggie Mulhern | September 24, 2016 | 1:05 PM

Hanin A. (@beautybyhanin) of Pomp Salon, Stockton, CA.  says her new client’s hair was mostly virgin but she had some old highlights. The hair looked dull and damaged but had great potential. All it needed was some oomph.

Here Hanin shares the details for this makeover:

Step 1: Balayage using Schwarzkopf BlondeMe lightener with 30 vol and Olaplex.

Step 2: Process for 20 minutes lifting to level 8-golden. Shampoo and condition.

Step 3: Tone roots with Redken Shades EQ 6n. Tone the rest of the hair with Redken Shades EQ 1/2oz 8n, 1/4oz 7n, 1/4 clear.

Step 4: Process for 15 minutes and rinse. Finish with Olaplex step 2.
