CHI Formula: Swirl Technique by Patrick Kalle

Farouk Systems Artistic Director Patrick Kalle created this look from the CHI Move collection, showcasing tons of direction and movement by using diagonal layering.

FORMULA & APPLICATION

Natural level 7, medium blonde

Formula 1: 1 part CHI Blondest Blonde with 1½ part 20-volume CHI Color Generator

Formula 2: 1 part CHI Shine Shades 7I + ¼ part CHI Shine Shades 1N with 1 part 10-volume CHI Color Generator

Formula 3: 1 part CHI Shine Shades 9S with 1 part 10-volume CHI Color Generator

Formula 4: 1 part CHI Chromashine Vibrant Violet with 1 part CHI Color Lock Treatment

 

1. Apply Formula 1 to the base area, Process 40 minutes, shampoo and rinse.

2. Apply Formula 2 to the base area. After 10 minutes, apply Formula 3 to the lengths and ends, then process 20 minutes. Shampoo, towel dry, apply CHI Indra treatment and leave on for 5 minutes before rinsing.

3. Section out a diamond shape on top of the head. Secure ends in the triangular section using elastic. This will create a palm tree-type section that will allow you to isolate the placement of Formula 4 on the outside sections of the diamond shape. Process 15 minutes, shampoo and rinse.
