One of the trends MODERN saw while touring fashion week was, for lack of a better word, the "SWEATY" look. One of the best finishes was created by Holli Smith, for Oribe, for the Patrik Ervell collection. The good news was that Smith was creating these looks on male models.

"I've been wanting to get away from some of the wet looks we've been seeing for the past few years on both men and women," she says, "so I decided to make all the hair as dry and matte as possible and then brush it to get dry looking. I then take a part around the front hairline spary with Maximista to make it look wet like the guy has been sweating." Smith continues into the temple area, making sure the hair looks "wet and sticky...really shallac. I want to make a strong difference between the wet and the dry,"she adds.

After an overview of the look, MODERN asked Smith why there are so few women as leads for fashion shows. Her answer is interesting. Check it out.
