Staff My Salon Matches Owners with Available TalentAs a former nail tech then salon owner, Karen Kaminski knows exactly how hard it can be for professionals to identify salons that have job openings and for salons to find qualified professionals who are in the market.“It’s almost a secret, underground society. Beauty professionals are apprehensive about applying for interesting positions because they feel if word gets out they could lose their current job, and so salons have a hard time identifying people who may be interested in the opportunities they have to offer,” says Kaminski.

As a result, Kaminski, who is now a beauty industry sales consultant, created Staff My Salon, an online career website, exclusively created for the Beauty Indsutry. “My goal with Staff My Salon is to become the industry standard where salons and beauty professionals can connect and build their professional network,” she says. “It provides knowledge, insights, and job opportunities; it is where the industry can find professionals, and where beauty professionals go to be found.

For $49.99 for one month or $119 for three months, salons can become members, build detailed business profiles and advertise available positions that can be viewed by qualified applicants who currently are seeking current positions. For 14.99 a month, beauty professionals can create a profile and post it either publicly or privately—this can be searched by salons with openings. “But it doesn’t stop there,” Kaminski says. “Salons can post freelance positions, whether they need extra hands during prom or bridal season or to work events like Fashion Week, and manufacturers can post can post education positions.”
